My Troop · Last updated September 24, 2026
My Troop is a private space for the families of a youth troop or club. By signing in you agree to these few rules. They exist so the space stays kind, safe, and useful for everyone.
1. Who can use the app
- Only adults (18+) who are a parent or guardian of a child in the troop, and who have been invited by the troop leader, may create an account.
- Children do not get accounts. Please do not hand your signed-in phone to a child to post on your behalf.
- Your account is yours. Do not share your password.
2. Photos and videos of children stay inside the troop
- Anything shared in the app is meant for troop families only. Please do not download and repost troop photos or videos to social media or public places unless every child pictured has a parent who has said yes.
- Check the roster's photo-permission note (the troop leader can see it) before posting a photo that features another family's child prominently.
- If you see a photo of your child that you would rather not have in the gallery, tell the troop leader and it will be removed.
3. Be kind in chat
- One chat room, all families, all readable by the troop leader. Talk the way you would at a troop meeting.
- No harassment, no bullying, no sales pitches, no politics. Keep disagreements off the group chat; talk to the troop leader directly instead.
- Do not post other people's private information (addresses, phone numbers, health details) without their okay.
4. Money
- Dues and event fees you pay in the app go to the troop's bank account through Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by the troop.
- Questions about a charge, a refund, or your family's balance go to the troop leader.
5. The troop leader may remove content or access
- The troop leader can delete any message or photo at any time, and can remove a family's access to the app (for example when a family leaves the troop).
- Removing access does not delete what you already shared; it stays in the troop's records. Ask the troop leader if you want something taken down.
6. Keep it working
- Do not try to access another family's information, probe the sign-up, or otherwise misuse the app.
- The app is provided as-is. We do our best; there are no promises about uptime.
6a. Plans for troop leaders
- Every troop starts on the free plan. Paid plans (Basic and Premium) are bought by the troop leader on a Stripe checkout page in the browser, never inside the app, and renew monthly or yearly until cancelled from the billing page.
- If a paid plan lapses, nothing is deleted and nobody loses access: the troop simply returns to the free plan's limits (up to 9 families, no Bank tab) until it is renewed.
7. Changes
If these rules change, you will see a note in the app. Questions: contact the troop leader (details are in the app under More → About).
